After I had finished my studies of electrical engineering with a focus on electric drives and the completion of my diploma thesis dealing with topics of commutation analysis and increasing the lifetime of commutator motors I have started my career at Schunk, the leading supplier of carbon brushes and sliding contacts in the world. I have been the technical contact person for material grade selection, dimensioning and validation of carbon brushes and sliding contacts as well as fault analysis, trouble shooting and optimization of mechanical sliding contact systems for various customers in Europe. Besides being the technical customer contact further tasks have been interdivisional coordination of customer requests. Thereby I had to deal with project management tasks, optimization of costs, market investigation and product development.
