My current role is lead engineer on the org's Design System team. I work very closely with designers, front-end and infrastructure teams to roll out a considered suite of UI components and SDKs across a range of products, with varying front-end frameworks. Responsibilities and disciplines include a deep knowledge of web components, the DOM, web platform / framework APIs, API design, developer experience and accessibility.

A leading enterprise social insights platform that offers analytics, visualisation and reporting tools for a huge dataset of social conversation data. I have been UI lead on the consumer-facing side of Vizia, a command centre and report sharing platform in which analysts curate visualisations and content from real-time data sources, pushed to a range of mediums including multi-display TV installations and mobile devices. My role involves interaction design and build of advanced UI components, SDK libraries and data visualisations for the organisation, whilst ensuring they deliver a valuable user-experience.

Ribot is an award-winning mobile and web agency with a dedicated focus on user-centred products; large clients include Tesco, Google, Channel 4 and EDF. My role was dynamic and included full-stack engineering, design sprints, product development and R&D. Often partnered with external back-end teams, I learned skills to spec communication layers between our own multi-platform client apps and external web services. A large part of my work stream was R&D for how mobile interaction design can be integrated with physical spaces. This included investigating how to leverage a user's device to utilise smart devices, microlocation, product scanning and interaction with sound/light installations to improve their experience.

I completed large scale projects predominantly for art sector clients including V&A, White Cube, Art Review, Claudia Schiffer, Brighton Dome/Festival and British Council. I was leading the front-end team and heavily involved in the design process to make the transition from traditional desktop web to multi-platform and device delivery. My key achievement was innovating on our in-house CMS/e-commerce platform, one of the first bespoke headless content APIs, controlling a suite of UI components and layout systems for author-driven editorial and visual composition.
