About Stefan Richter

The first thing you need to know about me is that I'm a problem solver. Nothing motivates me more than a complex and murky scenario with no clear solution, unless we're discussing process improvement or diving headfirst into a new technical skill! In university, my pursuit of molecular biology, technical writing, and statistics taught me an empirical discovery process grounded in concise, communicable documentation and driven by creative manipulation of hard data. This approach has proven extremely adaptive to the tasks I've taken on, from strategy implementation during product/market launches, to developing those same strategies, to forming liaison programs across business units, to training new hires, or even customer experience and B2B+B2C account management.Though I've taken on a great variety of responsibilities, I strive to master these skills though tenacity and discipline. Even at early ages I chose massive projects for myself, reading Tolkien's legendarium through before middle school, taking 75+ mile backpacking trips and becoming SCUBA certified by 15, and setting a world record in musical and athletic competition by 21. This continued throughout my employment, where I became a leader in short order at every position I held, notably taking the lead of a 12-person educational staff after just two years. Thankfully these attributes are able to take me through more challenging times as well; In a customer-facing role I was able to move up in customer satisfaction reporting from near the bottom of the ranks in an 800 person organization to 2nd place in three months.What I'm looking for is a position to truly test my capabilities, something I've not yet found. My time at a tech real estate startup was wonderful, helping scale the company 100-fold in one year and being a primary contributor to many of the processes and programs created in that time, be it call scripts, training documents, or overall strategy. Constructing functional teams across business groups and managing them in daily operations was an excellent challenge as well, though I look forward to expanding my skillset in more dynamic and robust environs.About me personally, I'm sure you can tell so far that I'm a consummate nerd, passionate musician, and avid outdoor adventurer. Cultural understanding, especially competing religious texts, and history consume much of time time as well, and I have to laugh at myself for being so curious as to be a hair shy of a minor in history without intending to be!
