• Development of genetically encoded biosensors for monitoring nuclear glutathione and formaldehyde dynamics in leukemic cells• Development of laboratory skills, including real-time PCR, plasmid DNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, Sanger sequencing, cloning, cell culture, viral production, confocal microscopy, fluorescense microscopy and flow cytometry.

• Investigation into the prevalence of haemoparasitic infection in laughing pigeons and comparison of two different detection methods (PCR and microscopic analysis of blood smears).• Development of laboratory skills, including DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis and multiplex PCR.
