Health Champion
CurrentAfter receiving her degree in Sports Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Stefanie became a full-time mother to four. Once her youngest was in first grade, she hit the career track hard, both in advertising and as a gift sales rep. Arthritis didn’t just screw up her childhood. It crushed her quality of life in adulthood, motherhood and the workplace, imposing on her serious joint damage and constant pain. Her third full-time job was to find a better way to live. Training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition provided a foundation for eating; it allowed her to fully appreciate the gift she received from the doctor who solved her 40-year old medical mystery. Her new path to wellness combined both discoveries and inspired her to write a book “Life is a Journey, Are You Packed?” Feeling good in her body for the first time since she can remember, Stefanie, is hooked on helping people identify, manage and let go of inflammation-induced pain. When she’s not coaching clients in Virginia Beach, where she lives with her husband and two children, Stefanie Foster Freeman is speaking at workshops around the country, or training for her first Ted Talk: “Why breaking up with my favorite foods was harder than divorcing my husband.” Wherever she goes, this fiery redhead, aka, RedMom, brings her signature brand of storytelling to guide people to feeling hopeful and beautiful.
