Director Of Human Resources
I was the first Director of Human Resources at ArchiveSocial. *In 2021, ArchiveSocial acquired NextRequest and Monsido, rebranding as Optimere. In June 2022, CivicPlus acquired Optimere.I led the provision of company-wide support in all HR matters, rapidly evolving HR processes to support the acquisition of two additional companies in 2021, which nearly doubled employee headcount. Working closely with the Internal Recruiting Specialist, we consistently met hiring goals, with as many as 10-15 new hires per month. I took the lead to secure multiple key Operations and Sales Operations hires. I instituted an employee engagement tracking system, surveying employees and gathering critical feedback during the integration of three companies. I supported five Sales managers and their teams through a revamped performance management process.
Senior Manager Of Operations & Human Resources
Oversaw daily operations of the company, reporting to the COO.I managed a team of four to carry out office administration, daily operations duties, contracts, and recruiting functions. I created and provided interview training and guidance to hiring teams across six departments. At times I supported hiring processes through phone and in-person interviews, conducting as many as 20 per week. I provided orientation and onboarding to new-hire classes of up to 10 each month, also managing terminations and the off-boarding process. One of my greatest challenges and achievements was, in collaboration with senior leadership, successfully navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and remote work; this included helping to create company policies related to COVID-19 and requirements for federal contractors.
Administration & Operations Manager
Owned and oversaw administration matters and daily operations of the company, reporting to the COO.I managed a team of three to support office administration, daily operations, and HR tasks. I created formal company policies related to PTO, Parental Leave, FMLA, etc. as headcount grew to 50+. Working with an external accounting team, I managed payroll, 401k, and other financial matters. I led all aspects of migrating the company through two office moves as headcount more than tripled in size. I supported the CEO and COO through a financial acquisition in April 2019, assisting in the due diligence process and leading preparation of the internal data room. Other HR duties included providing orientation and on-boarding to new hires, managed terminations, administering benefits, and attending career fairs to meet potential entry-level hires. Procurement support included T&C review, vendor registration, and bid responses, enabling our customer count to, at this point in time, exceed 2,500.
Operations Manager
Worked across each department to facilitate daily operations of the company, reporting to the CEO.I maintained the daily-to-day functions of the office related to work space, equipment, supplies, and visitors. I was responsible for banking, AR/AP, and customer payments, with the AR overdue ratio consistently under 2%. Recruiting duties entailed maintaining career postings online, reviewing resumes, and carrying out initial phone interviews. I researched expanded benefits offerings, including implementation of an employee 401k program.
Sales And Marketing Coordinator
Supported both Marketing and Sales teams daily, reporting to the Director of Marketing. My work with the Digital Marketing team included managing social media, contributing to the company blog, creating landing pages directing customers to our online collateral, and helping to maintain the company website and resources hosted there. I provided support to the Sales team by maintaining federal, state and local registrations, assisting in the completion of contract and bid materials, and owning the quote and invoicing process. I also managed the daily operations of the office, and planned and executed company-wide events.
Nanny
Provided child care for infant, planned outings, carried out household responsibilities. In this job I not only had to meet the needs of an infant, but anticipate and be flexible in response to those often changing needs. I filled down time with household tasks, always finding something to do even when my regular responsibilities are taken care of. I stayed busy and productive.
Teacher
Managed all aspects of classroom operations, including creating daily schedules, curriculum and lesson plans to meet developmental needs of all children; organized and maintained classroom materials and student files; assessed developmental progress and areas of concern, related this information to families and addressed any questions and concerns as needed. During my time at Lakewood the school completed the process to earn accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). I collected information (in the form of curriculum, lesson plans, schedules, assessment tools, student work samples, photographs and parent communication) to create a classroom portfolio. This portfolio was essential to the accreditation process, allowing assessors to quickly locate and easily understand evidence of our compliance with NAEYC standards.
Teacher
Initially hired in a "floater" position (able to assist and fill in where needed), quickly promoted to Lead Teacher. In addition to regular teaching duties, also took on office tasks including sorting and filing student information, as well as collecting and organizing data related to the US Food Program. I managed all aspects of the 1st Annual CHCP International Festival including recruiting volunteers and attracting over 100 attendees through email marketing. I also regularly organized classroom specific family gatherings, field trips and community outings for the children.
Teacher
Initially hired in a floater position, quickly promoted to Lead Teacher. Served as the staff representative on the Chapel Hill Day Care Board of Directors 2006-2007. I took on many projects above and beyond my regular classroom duties, such as organizing a school-wide Ice Cream Social, an activity to celebrate the Week of the Young Child in 2006. I also created a photo slide show to be shown at the Chapel Hill Day Care 40th Anniversary Celebration, and assisted in creating a classroom portfolio which served as evidence during our school's NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation process.
Direct Support Professional
Provided daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in a group home setting. Taught and encouraged independence in dressing, feeding, housekeeping and social interactions. Served as a morning shift lead, identifying household and resident needs and directed morning-shift staff to complete tasks. At the group home I included residents in shopping trips, community outings, cooking projects and trips to visit other residents at their homes, teaching life skills and fostering independence. Some of my proudest moments were when residents mastered a new skill or made a new friend.
Market Researcher
Conducted interviews, product comparisons and follow-up calls. Carried out office responsibilities such as fielding incoming calls and organizing files.I built communication skills and confidence while interacting with the general public to gather market research information.
