Stef Zeh was born and raised in NY with two lifelong loves – design and sports. She played high school and college sports and earned a BFA in Design. What drives her interest in both is how they help form connections and build community. Prior to Section Z, Stef designed a clothing line that was carried by major department stores including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom, as well as boutiques around the world. She currently owns and runs a lighting company that designs holiday lighting installations for residential and commercial properties that has been serving the same clientele for more than 10 years. In 2020, she found herself sitting in the stands at an Angel City game reflecting on the impact sports has had on her life. It was then that she realized that not everyone has the same opportunities. She didn’t have the same opportunities that her male counterparts did and there are other marginalized groups that have even less access than she did. So she decided to dedicate her life to changing that.
