My aim as a partner and now as a consultant at Moray & Agnew is to provide cost effective and commercial legal advice to my clients, written in plain English. I also try to be easily and directly contactable. My main areas of interest are workers'​ compensation, CTP defence work, asbestos litigation, general insurance and occupational safety and health and I have been working in these areas now for over 30 years. I mostly provide advice on workers'​ compensation claims and injury management to insurers, self-insurers and employers. One interesting aspect of claims management that I particularly enjoy is exploring recovery claims against negligent third parties, such as head or co-contractors, occupiers of premises and designers and manufacturers of machinery.I advise on asbestos litigation and act exclusively in WA for one major international insurer. I also have a current public liability and general insurance practice covering all types of claims from general slip and trip to more complex injury and other types of claims.I am past National Vice President of the Australian Insurance Law Association and a past committee member of the WA branch (serving first as secretary then as chair from 2012 to 2013). I remain an AILA member. In 2019 I was made an AILA life member. Outside work I have a wife, 2 adult daughters (one teaching in the UK and the other a marketing coordinator in Perth), 2 Jack Russell crosses and am a rusted on supporter of the Welsh rugby team, the British and Irish Lions, the Wallabies and the late (and often, sadly, not so great) Western Force, roughly in that order.
