CurrentThe International Code Council is the leading global source of model codes and standards and building safety solutions that include product evaluation, accreditation, technology, training, and certification. The Code Council's codes, standards, and solutions are used to ensure safe, affordable, and sustainable communities and buildings worldwide.Her primary role will be working with jurisdictions on accessing the billions of dollars in federal grant funding available to support code-related activities. Working with states or localities on funding opportunities from FEMA, HUD, DOE, or other sources. Her role is responsible for building out packages of ICC services that will meet the needs of many jurisdictions. She will work closely with the Government Relations and Energy teams at ICC.Recognizing the wide variety of needs across SLTT governments, the importance of a coordinated approach to advance energy code implementation and the specialized expertise within different organizations, the Code Council has teamed up with leading energy experts to form the Strategic Energy Code Implementation Team (SECIT). The SECIT is prepared to work with jurisdictions on their DOE grant proposals, identifying priorities and strategies and walking through the application process.
