The role of scientist also included scheduling and prioritising workload to ensure turnaround times were maintained. There was also constant development of current and new methods of analysis with support from a Team Leader and analysing statistical data of water quality samples. Liaising with customers and representatives from regulatory authorities was a key part in the overall analysis and to make sure all investigations and reasons for lapses in water quality were correctly reported.
