Currently I am PhD student in the group of Sven Geißler at BIH -Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin with background in Medical Biotechnology (Technical University Berlin). In my PhD project I am developing a Bone-on-a-Chip system based on iPSC-derived cells to mimic various genetic bone diseases. In particular, the model will be used for preclinical evaluation of novel somatic gene therapy approaches for Osteopetrosis. In recent years, I have had the opportunity to specialize in the area of bone tissue. I have dealt with bone diseases in the context of genetics during my work at the Institute of Human Genetics, as well as with the process of bone regeneration as part of the Julius Wolff Institute.
