Crisis communications without the drama, friendly but fierce reputation protection, can't let a good pun slide in an intro.I've worked in a wide range of communications and media in a wide variety of sectors and I'm as happy online as on the page. I'm old enough to still remember HTML tags, but young enough to be thankful I barely have to use them any more.Love learning about complex stuff, then helping it get presented in an understandable way on Stuff.Calm, unflappable and positive in a crisis, whether that's an urgent media or a power cut at an event. Have learned from experience that you can do events involving chefs, animals and children, but it's possibly responsible for all the grey hair in my head, and just don't ask about the mechanical sheep leg.As much flak as we get, I think this job is an important one. Many of the issues we face today could be solved if people cared, it's our job to make them realised they really do.
