I currently manage the Norfolk part of the Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach (NEACO) programme as part of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP). I line manage a team of 10 Higher Education Champions who are hosted off site in partner schools and colleges across Norfolk. The Higher Education Champions are responsible for encouraging underrepresented groups within the region to consider studying at university or within Higher Education. I oversee and manage their work, developing some of the strategic agenda and ensuring the project meets the objectives of NEACO and the overall NCOP agenda which is, more broadly, to accelerate progress on widening access for disadvantaged young people into higher education (HE). Its goals include:• To double the proportion of disadvantaged young people in HE by 2020• To increase the number of students from ethnic minority groups in HE by 2020• To address the lack of young men from disadvantaged backgrounds in HE

I organise enrichment events to recruit high achieving students to UEA which include residential Summer Schools and taster day events. I also manage the Norfolk Scholars Programme and team of four Student Learning Mentors in partnership with Villiers Park Educational Trust.

I play a key role in developing the University’s profile in schools and colleges within target locations through a programme of institutional visits, involvement in campus events and attendance at higher education fairs.

The co-ordination, management, administration and promotion of the University’s international programmes.
