Senior manager role leading the customer aspect of the retail model. Accountable for pharmacy, petrol station and front end operation within the store.

Accountable for delivery of shrink,keeping the store legal, controlling direct costs and managing several areas of the store. Often acting as Duty Manager driving store standards and being able to effectively manage a group of managers and colleagues.

Leading a department of 10 staff and a team of 5 managers to consistently exceed departmental sales targets. Responsible for managing the department's stock levels and resolving any customer queries which have been escalated from colleagues within the department. Able to demonstrate a flexible approach by also managing other departments within the store to cover leave/sickness. Acting up as the duty manager in the general store manager's absence, taking on responsibility for management of the whole store and being 'on-call' to deal with any emergencies or escalated issues.

Running a department of over 100 colleagues to ensure store sales and customer service targets were achieved. Problem solving any issues that arose and resolving customer queries. Standing in place of manager to run the department effectively.
