Creativity doesn't wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.Previously working in office backgrounds, it gave me the perfect skills for helping my partner set up his business. Helping him in all areas be it calling clients, doing invoices and even submitting the dreaded tax returns. I would very often be seen out in his van being his Labourer when needed, I became a dab hand at sweeping and passing tools, in fact I was called the 'Best Labourer' a Tradesperson could get, but my partner has to live with me so maybe being nice.After my partner went back to PAYE work as a Multi Skilled Trades person, I used my time to unleash my creativity. Crafting and Baking are a real passion of mine and over the years I have created some beautiful things. I am most proud of the wedding cake I made; I had never made a three-tiered cake before but using my skills from working on building sites I managed to make a fully standing three-tiered cake that went down a storm.But although my crafting mind has been fully fulfilled, my desire to have a flourishing career hasn't. I would pick during a global pandemic to be on a job hunt 'It's a Steph thing'. After many jobs applied for and many rejections (cries inside), I realised it wasn't me they were rejecting, I mean if they met me, they would be blown away, but the dreaded gap on my CV. So, after much ummming I decided to give a Warehouse job a go, and took a job at Boohoo PLC, where I currently work as a Warehouse Operative. It has been great for my confidence as I have made many friends, believe it or not at home on your own you don't make many. I have managed to pick up employee of the month twice in less than a year, which means I must be doing something right.With this new found confidence I am now looking to take my career to the next level and find a career I can really progress in, a company that can unleash my full potential and utilise all the skills I have picked up in my 30 years.
