About Steph Scott

A dedicated, professional and enthusiastic individual who possesses a considerable amount of knowledge in relation to administrative and office procedures. I am a quick learner who can absorb new ideas with experience in various aspects of Logistics, Human Resources and Recruitment. Other areas of expertise include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work well both as part of a team and using my own initiative. From January – March 2014 I relocated to Singapore to experience a different culture and further develop my current skill set. Here, I undertook a Sports Nutrition Course to enhance my current degree qualification. While living in Singapore I volunteered for the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) charity. My duties as a side walker included encouraging the children to participate, making sure they were warmed up properly, taking full responsibility for their safety while on the horse and keeping progress records up to date. While volunteering at RDA I displayed skills such as support for others, adaptability and collaborating with multi-cultural, multi-ability adults and children. During my time in Singapore I travelled to different parts of South East Asia including Bali, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpar. From my travelling experience I gained experience in financial planning and being economically astute, which involved using spreadsheets to keep a record of expenses. My negotiation skills were enhanced through daily contact with sellers in markets and vendors throughout Asia. I cultivated my language and communication skills through contact with people from around the world. I learned to use both verbal and non verbal communication to overcome language barriers.
