About Stephan B.

I am currently a senior software engineer for Arete Associates. I am the lead software engineer for multiple contracts and have deployed multiple production software solutions to our customers. I get excited about projects and solutions that are used every day, make peoples life easier, and have a tangible impact. Developing ad revenue or the next social app doesn’t do it for me. Im also not an embedded software engineer.Previously, I was a Test Engineer for the United States Air Force, at Edwards Air Force Base. I specialized in test execution, software engineering and code development, and test reporting. I have completed my Masters in Computational Science and Engineering from Georgia Tech. My focus was on High Performance Computing with large data sets. I have taken multiple courses in parallel computing, modeling and simulation, control theory, and space systems.Specialties: C/C++, Python, *NIX, GDB, vim, and making python ridiculously fast by wrapping C++ libs. And making specialty C++ code easily accessible in python via wheels.
