I started my career at Transnet in 1982 and qualified as an electrician in 1985, I worked in 3000V DC substations and 6.6 and 11Kv Substasions and did maintenance on electrical equipment.In 2003 I started working at MTN as an Electrical & Mechanical Supervisor and did maintenance on BTS sites and Data Centres. I Supervised Contractors that did maintenance on, DC Plants, UPS's, Chiller Plants and Air handling units, Building Maintenance systems, Fire and access control and CCTV systems, Rotary UPS's, Generators, transformer maintenance and also general electrical and building maintenance until January 2021.I am now self employed in the Aluminium industry, in selling Unique Security Doors and gates with integrated build-in alarm systems that can function on their own or connected to a existing alarm system. I also install Aluminium and glass Balustradding.
