Stephan is a seasoned civil engineering construction manager with more than 25 years of hands-on project experience. He has demonstrated successes on a variety of construction projects in and around Cape Town, including several multi-disciplinary projects. With his uncomplicated approach he naturally leads from the front, knowing that teamwork relies on every one’s unique participation. He strongly believes in also empowering the young to build and invest in our future. He has a wealth of water related construction knowledge including water-retaining concrete, bulk pipelines, specialized shoring and the most current trench-less technologies. He relies on lessons learnt from earlier challenges and believes in sharing this experience towards a continuous improvement team culture.“Construction is narrow-margin business…..” With an eagle’s eye scanning for any unaccounted situations and a strong sense of measuring and tracking, he relies on realistic information when making on-the-go management decisions.“…...we need to get paid for everything we do ”. The ever-maturing construction industry has further taught him to embrace the zero-harm health and safety culture, and along with due respect for our environment he now considers them cornerstones of effective construction management.
