I am a hard worker who pays attention to detail and takes pride in his work. I am a social person who enjoys the company of others, have the ability to build relationships across diverse groups of people and feel comfortable working in a team to achieve mutual goals. I have a passion for nature/wildlife, especially preserving/protecting it, and enjoy working outdoors, something which drove me to initially pursue a career as an Environmental Consultant.For large part of my career, I specialised in the field of Environmental Management and was extensively involved in the compilation and management of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Basic Assessments (BAs) for large scale renewable energy projects which form part of South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP). I also have extensive experience in the undertaking of Visual Impact Assessments for large scale renewable energy developments and other infrastructure projects. Additionally, I also have experience in Environmental Compliance and Auditing and have acted as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) for several infrastructure projects.Being involved in Renewable Energy projects as an Environmental Consultant piqued my interest in the industry and led me to pursue a career as a project developer/project manager for an IPP, so that I could become more actively involved. I feel great pride in being involved in sustainable development and decarbonisation in South Africa and want to continue playing an active role.
