The primary responsibility is to- manage customer installation projects,- Adhoc projects as assigned by the Projects department manager- Provide accurate estimates/ costing for projects as requested by Sales and marketing.The project leader will be responsible- for the successful execution of all projects assigned to him/her (budget, schedule, risk, solutiondelivery, etc..).- scope definition and site visits for potential prospects/projects.- Complete estimate/ costing within a 10% level of accuracy and timeously as per KPI on lead time

Manages effective use of resources - maintenance team, budgets and information flow in order topromote sales and customer satisfaction while maintaining Group, Client and Legal compliance.Manages and controls equipment use and stock inventory.

Responsible for the principal design with respect to plant mechanical, structural and civils. Assists with the electrical drawings. Take responsibility for the conversion of engineering concepts into layout/working drawings. Manage the draughting department, and to take final responsibility for all the work produced. Ensure compliance to engineering principles and safety standards with regards to drawings. Designs highly specialized components such tooling, special products and solutions for steel plant customer. Designs furnace linings based on a furnace concept supplied by the Marketing Department (based on customer requirements). He would for example based on a drawing of a conventional lining, design a freeze lining – determine block configurations and key design. Complete a scale drawing of the layout. He then calculates the number and size of blocks, quantities of ramming and mortars required for the furnace. It is important to note that having this expertise allows the marketing department to react quickly to customers – enabling them to quickly make a quotation/ presentation to the customer. Designs detailed presentations for Marketing Department i.e. PBMR, Purcarb etc. Control and manage the drawing archive (drawings, disk and microfilm), contracts with regards to office drawing office equipment and software and ensure compliance to ISO 9001

To Ensure that all new and revised projects, data and idea’s are placed on paper to become the basis for costing, optimum production decisions, maximum safety and highest engineering standards.Partake in design work & design review meetings to contribute in discussion on cost estimation and feasibility of project. Design and produce drawings of plant equipment mechanical structural and civil. Assist engineers and contractors when installing relevant equipment on site to help solve any problems that may occur. Assists marketing department with layout drawings of furnace linings as well as speciality products.
