Stephanie Hyder serves OSSBA members as Director of Strategic Initiatives. Currently, this includes directing, developing and designing a comprehensive stakeholder-driven strategic planning model that creates a process for districts, with intense community patron input, to intentionally define its purpose and direction and then establish goals and strategies to realize them. This model is an extension of For the People; A Vision for Oklahoma Public Education, a project Hyder facilitated from 2012-2014. For the People is the culmination of a collaborative effort that brought public school and career technology center leaders together to exhaustively study school transformation, through the objective lens of national and international research, economic trends, child development, and the people's expectations and needs of their local schools. Additionally, Hyder serves as the Director of Executive Search Services which allows her to work closely with school boards to find an effective educational leader for their district. Hyder holds a bachelor’s of science degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in educational technology, a graduate certificate in online teaching, and is currently working toward her doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies. Along with her educational background, Stephanie brings an array of knowledge to OSSBA including; advance professional development, adult learning theory, curriculum writing, needs assessment, program development, and implementation, as well as project management. Stephanie has also presented at national educational conferences on the topic of teacher preparation for alternative certified teacher and most recently, "Administrators and School Board Partner on Visioning for State's Public Education", a paper presented at the annual conference of the University Council of Educational Administration.
