I have had a diverse career as a NASA engineer, semiconductor engineer, veterinary candidate, mom, homeschool teacher and project manager. I am excited to reenter the corporate world using my analytical thinking and strong interpersonal and communication skills in a project management role. While working on my Mechanical Engineering degree, I joined NASA and trained crew members, flight controllers, and other operational personnel in the function and operation of the Shuttle Caution and Warning System and the Electrical Power System. During my time at NASA in the Space and Life Sciences Division, I became interested in a second degree in biology. After working on my biology/pre-vet degree, I made the difficult decision to stay home and raise my family. It was an incredible sacrifice, but I am glad I did it. As a stay-at-home mom, I transitioned into being a full-time homeschooler managing multiple grade levels, classroom teaching positions, and two children born with multiple surgical needs. One of the joys of being an engineer, scientist and a homeschooler was leading young minds towards a love of math and science. I have also loved encouraging and mentoring other moms in their homeschool endeavors.I’ve entered a new season of life and I’m ready to pivot back to work. I am excited to bring a strong technical and analytical mindset to a project management position.
