Profile bio

About Stephanie Rose

I orchestrate creative programs, campaigns, and projects that bring brands to life – and have a soft spot for companies that make the world a better place. I have a knack for creating processes for creative teams that make things run more smoothly. I’m also a relationship builder and collaborator with the ability to be the hub for highly complex projects across all aspects of branding and creative production. Branding has been my focus since my early years at integrated agency Addis, where I led client services for brands like Kashi (owned by Kellogg’s), Dole, Tropicana, and PepsiCo. Later, I was a brand consultant with startups, creating brand platforms, strategy, messaging, and guidelines. Recently, I was a creative producer and project manager for a fast-scaling climate tech startup, organizing and overseeing project flow for all assets with a focus on creating systems that can scale. I’m looking at opportunities in-house or consulting, working with interesting people who are up to something good. I have high standards and solid judgment. I’m knowledgeable, low ego, intuitive, authentic, direct, reliable, productive, and know how to create order out of chaos. If you would like to connect or if there is any way I can help you, please feel free to reach out.

Stephanie Rose work experience

A career timeline built from the work history available for this profile.

Creative Producer / Project Manager

Arcadia started as a community solar company and evolved into a $1 billion unicorn climate tech company with a suite of sustainability data and API products that companies use to track and manage their energy usage. I was recruited to the Creative Ops team on a contract to produce creative work for the marketing department. I handled project flow for sales and marketing collateral, brand templates, toolkits and guidelines, digital marketing needs, event booths and swag, sales decks, photo shoots, and website brand videos. I partnered with the Senior Brand Director and Creative Operations to optimize and standardize systems so we could grow our creative team capacity. Working across functions to kick off projects, I assigned resources, created timelines, and developed actionable creative briefs, and led up to 8 cross functional team meetings every week.

Brand Consultant

Rose Branding

San Francisco Bay Area

I took on branding projects with a number of mission-driven startups to create their brand strategy, platform, and guidelines, including developing visual identity systems like logos, websites, and collateral. I drove proposals, defined engagements, sourced design and strategy partners, created project plans, and worked on naming and design. Projects included driving brand strategy, identity, naming, and guidelines for clients such as a new EV charging station brand; New Mexico's first incubator for bioscience and life science startups; a regional coworking space that now has four locations; and a company launching a wearable safety device for women.

Jan 2015 - Jul 2022

Project Manager

Oakland, Ca

Playworks is a national education nonprofit that supports learning and physical health for kids by providing safe and inclusive play in urban schools, training school staff on healthy play for conflict resolution, and teaching life skills on the playground. I managed production of videos created to promote programs and attract new users, managing compliance and producing seamless filming experiences.

Oct 2018 - Apr 2020

Client Services / Brand Consultant

San Francisco

Pappas DMI was a brand strategy and design/expression agency based in D.C., which had just opened a new San Francisco office. I came in on contract to pitch a specific account and then led the integrated rebranding including brand platform, tagline, identity, photo library, and a brand video project.

Jul 2013 - Jul 2014

Vp Client Services

San Francisco Bay Area

Addis is a small but mighty full-service integrated agency specializing in branding for positive-change brands, from positioning and naming to web, apps, logos, events, packaging, etc. I was promoted to VP as I continued expanding my role, and led a 3-person client service team and the efforts of 6 graphic designers and production staff who supported the key Kashi account as well as Caldrea/Mrs Meyers, Glide Foundation, and Prana. I continued to own the Kashi relationship across 8 sub brands, and I represented Addis on the flagship Integrated Leadership Team, which was created by Kellogg’s to formally unite the Branding, Advertising, Media Buying, PR, and Web agencies for collaboration on building the Kashi brand. I also spearheaded an interagency workflow process for Kashi to drive cohesive, deadline-driven brand projects. A joint implementation effort ultimately increased agency capacity and output of consistent integrated marketing programs.

Jul 2010 - Sep 2012

Director Client Services

San Francisco Bay Area

When I was promoted to Director, I continued to lead and direct branding projects for clients including Dole, PF Chang’s, Arm & Hammer, Tropicana, Planned Parenthood, and Homegrown Naturals (Annie’s). I also continued to manage Kashi/Kellogg’s, now the agency’s largest client, and we became an extension of the Kashi marketing team and agency of record. I led work on the launch of a new fruit category and secured the agency’s first-ever retainer.

Oct 2005 - Jun 2010

Brand Strategy Manager

When I was hired in brand strategy, Addis was growing like mad and had clients like Dole and PepsiCo. Not long after, the dotcom crash led to laying off over 75% of the staff, and I found myself the only Client Services person to survive the layoffs. I quickly got up to speed on the world of brand strategy for packaging, compliance, legal, and regulated clients, created award-winning custom packaging structures, and worked with the Production Director to design and streamline workflow processes. In these years, I was assigned as the account person on the agency’s first Kashi project, shortly after Kellogg’s acquired them, and I grew the account from $50K to more than $1.5M in annual revenue and began a client relationship that lasted for more than ten years.

May 2000 - Sep 2005

Project Manager

Quick Trading Inc — Cannabis Focused Publisher That Influenced Marijuana Policy

San Francisco Bay Area

I worked with marijuana activist, pioneer, publisher, and High Times columnist Ed Rosenthal (“Guru of ganja”), editing books, and supporting his publishing work and his advocacy across medical, legal, political, and cultivation topics.
