In this role I was tasked to provide support in the overall implementation of the Great Lakes Regional Strategic Framework (GLRSF) - a regional cross-border programme aimed to address cross-border insecurities in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries (Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania). My responsibilities included assisting in the coordination and monitoring of programmes; chairing the communications working group as well as consolidating inter-agency data and information per pillar to identify priotization - ensuring an overview of operational matters across country (cross-border) programmes in the region. Moreover, I supported the Coordinator Specialist in maintaining cooperation with partnering agencies and the Office of the Special Envoy for the Great Lakes.

Burkina Faso

Provided administrative support to project officers for the gender trust fund and the economic and social justice programmes. I gave technical, strategic and financial inputs through capacity building plans for five CSOs. In addition, I engaged in activities relating to outreach and advocacy against discriminatory practices against women.
