I have ten years of experience in accounting. I started as an intern with a small CPA firm and was offered a position with the firm by the end of my internship. I have experience with tax preparation, payroll preparation, payroll tax filings, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, financial statements preparation, and accounts receivable/payable management. In my role as an auditor, I expanded my knowledge and skills surrounding GAAP, GAGAS, and other guidelines and regulations as well as auditing best practices.In my latest role as an Accountant II, I have gained knowledge in the AP cycle, correctly classifying and amortizing expenses, managing prepaid inventory and assets, properly classifying and accounting for fixed assets. I have learned how to quickly and accurately process month end items such as general entries and account reconciliations. I love a good challenge and working with an excellent team.
