Stephanie Buck is a Senior Attorney at Chicago Trusted Attorneys®. Prior to going into private practice, she served as a Cook County State’s Attorney for 18 years. With her experience as a prosecutor, she brings a unique perspective to her clients at Chicago Trusted Attorneys. Stephanie knows how to assess a criminal case and how to navigate through the complicated nuances of the criminal courts to the benefit of her clients. She is known for the genuine compassion she has for her clients. Stephanie worked her way up from the appellate division, and is proficient in critical research, written arguments, and oral advocacy skills. She excelled through misdemeanor court and mastered the fundamentals of criminal law, motion, and trial skills. Four of her appellate briefs were published opinions and she twice argued before the First District Appellate Court of Illinois. Stephanie has handled all types of criminal offenses from minor infractions to the most serious felonies. For ten years, she exclusively prosecuted felony offenses at every stage of the proceeding. To date, she’s litigated hundreds of pre-trial motions, negotiated countless plea bargains, and tried dozens of felony bench and jury trials. Stephanie earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and attended law school at University of Minnesota. When she’s not in the courtroom, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
