As Registered Manager I am ultimately responsible for the safe running of the service - ensuring that we provide the best people to support our clients through ensuring their training and fact checking that they are the right people for the job through due diligence with reference checking and running up to date DBS searches. Promoting choice and control wherever possible and interdependence where needed.

Myself and colleagues have set up a bespoke Care Agency - to allow us to create highly individualised packages of care and support for those that need help. We will, now registered with CQC, recruit and train people to ensure that the team around the individual is right by working with the individual in recruitment/selection and ongoing support to the team as needed. The Directors will always be accessible and ready to support our clients how they want to be supported. How to contact us will be available when we start to trade.

To offer advice and expertise as a family carer

I have recently been appointed as one of a team of new directors at the Leicester City Healthwatch. Leicester City Healthwatch looks to work with partners and to be the Champion for the people of Leicester City using Health and Social Care Services thereby giving them a clear voice to help drive up standards of care and support across the board supporting vulnerable people and their families.People can speak to us and we WILL hear them and act where we can.I resigned the position at the end of October when it was made clear by the commissioned HOST that it they were NOT going to allow the people of Leicester to have an independent Healthwatch. I see the process they followed as a complete breach of the Nolan principles and as such my position as an honest and transparent worker became untenable and I had to protect my own professional integrity..I feel very concerned that the people of Leicester City will not have an Independent health and Social Care champion whilst it remains with the current host.
