I worked at the Randall Oaks Park District as a front desk attendant. This job built up skills of customer service, communication, leadership, problem solving, typing, and using technology. I bettered my customer service skills by greeting guests each day and being as helpful as possible! I had to have good communication with fellow employees as well as my manager since I always had to know what was going on each day at the facility so that I could be of use to the guests. I worked nights after school, so I was typically on my own working shifts, so that gave me great leadership and problem solving skills since I had to make most decisions myself. My typing improved since I had to write many emails and I had to navigate the technology we used so I was quick to learn the program on the computer. Show less
