As a former special education teacher of five years, my main priority is to advocate for underserved communities through research, training and problem solving with an empathetic approach.By obtaining a M.S.Ed in Special Education and furthering my education in Design Lab, I have gained the ability to understand the pain points and challenges of users whilst bringing a unique perspective to design that is constantly evolving. I believe a large part of being a contributing member to society is to volunteer our gifts and time to a greater purpose. As a member of leadership in my local church, I have had the privilege to lead and manage the growing social media team. Through consistent communication, strategy development and metrics tracking we have been able to provide a substantial increase of engagement and maintain positive interactions with our members.Throughout my experiences in the fields of education, social media and user experience design, I have developed competencies in Administration, Learning and Development, Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), User Interface Design, Wire-framing, Prototyping, Usability Testing and Digital Illustration through the outlets of Canva, Affinity, Figma, Slack and Google Workspace
