About Stephanie Gauthier

I am an Associate Professor in Energy and Buildings and the Admission Tutor for Civil Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Having graduate in Architecture from the University of Paris Val de Seine, I completed my MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering and my PhD in Energy and the Built Environment at University College London (UCL). Having completed my PGCert in Academic Practice at the University of Southampton, I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.Specialties: . Research in Energy Demand in Buildings.     In collaboration with Dr. Anna Mavrogianni, I developed and taught the MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering: Methods of Environmental Analysis module at the Bartlett. I was also the module tutor for the MSc in Housing Development: Principles of Sustainable Housing Design module at the Bartlett. These two multidisciplinary modules aim to introduce MSc students to the principles, methods and practice of built environment research, and the skill set to survey, model and critically assess a building or a development. I have also contributed to design project tutorials of MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering: Building Solar Design, a module aiming to encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration in the application of passive design strategies using dynamic thermal modelling. Further to teaching MSc modules, I have supervised a number of postgraduate students dissertations.
