About Low Carbon Comfort Centre of Excellence
The Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon Comfort (LCCC) is about accelerating the net-zero transition of buildings through a holistic approach to indoor comfort (air quality, thermal, lighting and acoustics) and advances in tools and analytic methods to deeply instrument buildings at scale. For the UK to meet its net zero targets, buildings need to completely decarbonise their emissions by 2050. LCCC aims to understand how low-carbon comfort can be delivered cost-effectively at scale, taking a multi-disciplinary approach to optimize socio-technical solutions. This will ensure that future living and working spaces deliver comfort and internal environmental quality as well as low carbon living.
