About Stephanie Hawkinson

Stephanie Hawkinson is Affordable Housing Development Manager for the City of Edina. She brings knowledge of both the developer side of the process and the public funding procedural process to her work. Her extensive redevelopment skills were acquired in part through an eleven-year tenure with the City of Saint Paul as a Senior Project Manager in the Department of Planning and Economic Development; six and a half years as the Director of Housing Development with the Landon Group; and currently over six and a half years as the Affordable Housing Development Manager with the City of Edina. She excels at project management in this role, as well as bringing project partners and stakeholders together to work efficiently and transparently. Her highly efficient working style and dedication to affordable housing make Stephanie an integral part of any development team.Ms. Hawkinson has also been instrumental in effecting policies to support affordable housing in a suburban community, including drafting policies and shepherding through the approval process. These include policies pertaining to Fair Housing, Tenant Protection, Housing Improvement Areas, the inclusion of affordability in new multifamily market rate apartments, among others. She also introduced a first generation down payment assistance program to address the housing disparity gap within the City.
