Stephanie Hawkinson is Affordable Housing Development Manager for the City of Edina. Ms. Hawkinson understands all steps of the development process, including feasibility analyses, financial modeling, site selection and acquisition, predevelopment funding, assembling a development team, funding acquisition, closing and construction. She excels at project management in this role, as well as bringing project partners and stakeholders together to work efficiently and transparently. Her highly efficient working style and dedication to affordable housing make Stephanie an integral part of any development team.Ms. Hawkinson has also been instrumental in effecting policies to support affordable housing in a suburban community, including drafting policies and shepherding through the approval process. These include policies pertaining to Fair Housing, Tenant Protection, Housing Improvement Areas, the inclusion of affordability in new multifamily market rate apartments, among others. She also introduced a first generation down payment assistance program to address the housing disparity gap within the City.
