At X4, I provide project management, technical writing, and plain language services in the government healthcare sector.

Kansas farm and food manufacturing company specializing in vegetable and fruit production; take and bake local comfort food meals; and shelf-stable jams, salsas, sauces, and pickles. Currently, our products are featured in several stores and are available for local delivery. As an owner-operator, I manage the company and take the lead on food production and regulatory compliance.

As an independent contractor, I provide project management services in the healthcare, agricultural, and local government sectors.

In the role of Kansas HPV Vaccination Project Manager, I managed the day-to-day activities of this CDC grant-funded initiative. In addition to managing the project activities overall, I was responsible for stakeholder engagement with key partner organizations within the state of Kansas. Other activities funded through this grant include direct consultation with provider practices and county public health departments, provider education and a marketing campaign to educate Kansas parents about vaccination guidelines for adolescents. At the beginning of this project, Kansas had the lowest rates of delivering HPV vaccination in the nation. Key responsibilities included: Working within a remote team environment to coordinate and monitor day-to-day project activities. Recruiting of a broad statewide coalition of project stakeholders. Our key partners include the Immunize Kansas Coalition, American Cancer Association, the Kansas Cancer Partnership, The University of Kansas Cancer Center, Midwest Cancer Alliance, the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Kansas Association of Family Physicians. Organizing and facilitating stakeholder meetings.  Presenting project information to stakeholder partners during stakeholder meetings and to their constituents at other meetings as requested. Hosting the CDC’s Director, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, during her 3 day visit to Kansas in May. We visited Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita during her time in Kansas. Submitting project activity reports to KDHE and the CDC. Providing oversight of other team members’ activities to ensure project activities are in scope and completed in budget.

As an EQRO Project Manager, I was responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of assigned projects from development through completion. The primary mission of the EQRO Team is to help ensure access, quality, and timeliness of healthcare services for the Kansas Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program Managed Care populations. I worked collaboratively with EQRO customers, other Kansas Medicaid stakeholders and KFMC support staff to achieve our project goals.

As the DBA, I was responsible for administration of all databases maintained by KFMC, and managed all data stored in KFMC systems. In this role, I managed the migration of data stored in a variety of flat file and software specific formats into a centralized database management system. I was the custodian of protected health information received, stored and maintained within the system infrastructure and served as a primary point of contact for external databases accessed by KFMC. Additionally, I was a designated security point of contact for the Federal Medicare contract.

As the Lead Health Data Analyst, I was responsible for the analytic functions in support of health care quality improvement projects conducted in collaboration with health care facilities and managed care plans. I provided analytic expertise in planning and enhancing quality improvement projects and utilization studies. In addition, I served as the leader of the other health data analysts by coordinating activities, disseminating information, and assisting in work load leveling.
