Recently enrolled in the Personal Finance undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I am looking forward to pairing my interests in people with my excitement for numbers. I am a client focused, organized, and hardworking individual.Currently, I work in the Electronic Monitoring Center for the Department of Corrections in Wisconsin. This role has afforded me the ability to make connections and build relationships with other state officials. I have built strong communication and multi-tasking skills here that are easily transferrable to any position or internship in the future. This semester, Spring 2021, I have started my Personal Finance Bachelors Degree and am eager to continue working through the coursework and networking with people I meet along the way. In this semester, I recently became a member of FOCUS, a group of Personal Finance majors on campus. I have found this group to be very eye opening to the various career paths of other professionals in the industry. I am currently in the hunt for an internship that will help me build my knowledge of the finance sector and allow me to gain key insight to specific career roles. I have worked at National Exchange Bank and Trust in the past. Through this work, I was able to help and work alongside Financial Advisors. This sparked my initial interest in the finance field and serves as my first, unofficial, internship.I look forward to reaching out to different professionals in the Wisconsin area to learn more about them and their companies. And, hopefully, through that I can make lasting connections which will assist me in finding internships or job opportunities in the financial field.
