I am a solution-oriented research professional with 10+ years of experience in multidisciplinary laboratory environments. I specialize in histological and metallurgical sample preparation and analysis, and have experience in laboratory management, project supervision, troubleshooting, experimental design, protocol development, and scientific communication. My research considered the fretting and corrosion of modular total hip arthroplasties and the effects of the resulting wear debris on local and systemic inflammation, and resulted in 2 first authored publications, 5 co-authored publications, and 6 symposium presentations. I have proven myself to be a dedicated team member and leader, and took leadership roles in the Graduate College Student Council, Academic Standards Committee, Peer Mentorship Program, and Trainee Research Day Planning Committee during my doctoral training. I welcome the opportunity to speak to all about my past research, and how my skills could be utilized in new biomedical applications.
