Primary responsibility for administration of Georgia’s Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Manage and administer $24,000,000 annual budget of program that evidenced 60% increase in children and families served since 2000. Supervision of state level staff. Oversee state contracts, contracts with local lead agencies for program administration throughout the state. Collaborate with Family Health and Public Health programs and services as well as other public and private services and organizations related to meeting the needs of children and families in Georgia. Policy development. Completion of state Grant Applications to the Federal government for Part C program participation. Coordinate and staff quarterly meetings of district Early Intervention coordinators. Provide and oversee guidance, support, and monitoring for district/local early intervention programs. Participation on planning committees for national early childhood conferences. Served as elected Director at large for the national Part C Infant Toddler Coordinators Association (ITCA) (2004); Vice President (2005); President (2006). Past President (2007); National Early Childhood Outcomes Center Advisory Panel member (2003 – present). Appointed member of Georgia Department of Education State Advisory Panel for Special Education.

Planning and coordinating technical assistance and training services for Babies Can’t Wait district programs throughout Georgia. Oversee technical assistance contracts with Georgia universities. Coordinate and staff quarterly meetings for district Early Intervention program coordinators and early intervention specialists. Provide monthly orientation/inservice training classes for service coordinators statewide. Collaborate with Family Health Branch programs and services as well as other public and private services and programs related to meeting the needs of children and families in Georgia. Policy development. Completion of state Grant Applications to the Federal government for Part C program participation.

Primary responsibility for administration of regional Part C system. Supervision of public and private service coordinators, evaluation team members, and other specialized and support staff.
