Home Study & Post-Release Services Caseworker For Unaccompanied Minors
Current❖ Post Release Services and comprehensive case management services throughout the entire state of Maryland assessing the safety and appropriateness of the placement on an ongoing basis using child welfare principles and social work best practices. ❖ Maintain a caseload and participate in mandatory training requirements to follow contract terms and agency expectations defined by the program supervisor. Stay abreast of all agency federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services. ❖ Effectively maintain case capacity and trending of all caseloads. Conduct home visits following contract requirements and conduct the reunification process by performing home study assessments as needed. ❖ Perform resource referrals, community connections, and case management services to connect families to available resources while utilizing trauma-informed care throughout service provision. ❖ Develop and maintain positive networking relationships with community partners and resources for families.❖ Conduct assessments tailored to the client’s needs, while working collaboratively with the program supervisor and provide psycho-educational information, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to children and families. ❖ Provide family stabilization counseling and assist qualified unaccompanied children in accessing services provided through TVAP services. ❖ Assess potential placements for unaccompanied children (UC), including interviews, outreach to family in the home country, and home study investigations. ❖ Complete and document all required reports, case notes, and case contacts in the appropriate database per the expected timeframes and requirements.

Additionally, I supported Baltimore Corps with ongoing research support and documented the rapidly changing food donation ecosystemI contributed to designing a scalable, youth-led food security task force by identifying best practices and coordinated solutions in creating a nationally streamlined food resource databaseI also played an active role to inform efforts to scale-up the initiative of the pilot and worked with Baltimore-based organizations to identify opportunities to more actively support food delivery and coordination in their immediate region.
