Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Corporate Initiatives Lead is responsible for strategic initiatives project management, including development and implementation, and ensuring consistency and compatibility with Council’s Strategic Priorities and alignment with the corporate Mission, Vision, and Values. This position acts a resource to the CAO and Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) to lead key multi-departmental corporate initiatives, including community improvement projects, government relations, strategic planning, policy development, research, writing, analysis, community engagement, and community partnership initiatives. This role prepares reports, presentations, briefings, grant applications, requests for proposals, and policies; conducts research, undertakes consultation, surveys, analysis and evaluation, interprets trends and opportunities, and makes recommendations.

- Provide policy and project management support for the CAO and corporate leadership team; - Prepare reports, policy papers, analyses and recommendations on issues affecting the municipality; - Draft strategies, requests for proposals, presentations, letters, and grant applications; - Act as a research resource to legal counsel; - Coordinate corporate initiatives and special projects; - Design, coordinate, and manage public consultation initiatives; - Liaise with external government agencies and community groups; - Develop, revise and update Council policies and administrative procedures; - Draft terms of reference and governance policies for various boards and committees; - 2018 Election Assistant.

- Provide policy and project management support for the CAO and corporate leadership team; - Prepare reports, policy papers, analyses and recommendations on issues affecting the municipality; - Draft presentations, strategies, requests for proposals, press releases, letters, grant applications, and social media posts; - Act as a research resource to legal counsel; - Coordinate corporate initiatives and special projects; - Develop, revise and update Council policies and administrative procedures; - Draft terms of reference and governance policies for various boards and committees; - Complete 1-month placement at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing; - 2014 Election Assistant.

- Research and design museum displays, educate patrons on battalion history, provide guided tours, prepare tour information, select artifacts for display; - Records management, including cataloguing, digitizing and filing archival material and artifacts; - Draft funding applications and grant proposals for museum projects and memorials; - Organize events, forums, guest lectures, and material for presentations.

- Coordinate research studies for resident ophthalmologists; - Edit ophthalmologists dictations; - Records management.

- Teach weekly undergraduate classes; - Lecture students and effectively communicate major themes and course content; - Organize and facilitate group discussions; - Teach students to write effective research papers and historiographical essays; - Mark major research papers, book reviews, exams, and assign tutorial grades.
