Data Management and Analysis:•Translate raw data into analyzable SAS datasets: data cleaning, merging, derivation of variables, modeling and quality control. •Conduct statistical analyses: develop simple and multivariate models for use in presentations, publications and reports. •Geocoding: mapping participants and examining their access to care, environmental exposures, neighborhood crime statistics and SES.•Link and correlate data from the NDI (National Death Index) and the Census in order to evaluate cause of death and its relationship to disease severity and access to healthcare and utilization of services.Database Development and Maintenance:•Development and creation of CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) databases using both ‘front-end’ and ‘back-end’ programming in MS Access to collect data.•Responsible for the integration and the compilation of the data from these CATI databases over time, across multiple sites and interviewers. Project Coordination:•Merge, coordinate and track thousands of research subjects diagnosed with Lupus for multiple research studies: one in its 13th and final year and a new one funded by the CDC establishing a longitudinal cohort of English, Spanish and Chinese speaking people with lupus in the Bay Area over six years and counting.•Manage bibliographies, website content, newsletters, public data sets, code books and documentation for each study.

Sold over 25,000 lbs of toffee per year to various companies including Peet’s, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Draeger’s and Wine.com. Established relationships with distributors, buyers and brokers; hired and managed seasonal workforce; and represented company at national trade shows throughout the United States. Managed accounting, invoicing and inventory in Quickbooks. In 2009 made the executive decision to reduce operations and sold off capital investments and the customer list.

Oakland, Ca

Supervised the recruitment, enrollment, and collection of highly sensitive, confidential data for a Yale University study on PTSD and substance abuse funded by National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA). Administered DSM-IV mental health and substance abuse inventories and drug tested clients at the Oakland methadone clinic. Designed databases and tracked data in SPSS.

Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute:Recruited and enrolled subjects from Bay Area methadone clinics into a NIDA study. Collected data on heroin use and relapse from a diverse substance abuse population. Obtained samples for drug analysis and provided crisis intervention when necessary.

Menlo Park, Ca

Institute of Health & Aging:Recruited and conducted baseline and follow up physical functioning assessments with older, sedentary adults. Responsible for all data management, including data collection, coding, tracking and SAS analyses. Developed a questionnaire that documents vigorous physical activity over peoples’ lifetime.

Greater Nashville Area, Tn

Clinical Psychology Department:Conducted diagnostic interviews with adolescents at risk for depression and their families to assess depressive symptoms and other psychopathology based on DSM diagnoses. Assessed adolescents’ general functioning, stress level, coping capabilities, cognition, IQ and family environment.Special Education Department:Coordinated and supervised data collection using a direct observational computer program (MOOSES) on seriously emotionally disturbed children in special education classrooms. Established and checked the reliability of all data collectors. Responsible for all data management, transformation and analysis using MOOSES and SPSS+/PC.
