I have worked in the care sector for much of my working life, and have brought up four children.I have gained many transferable skills - good communication, the ability to prioritise tasks, staying calm in a crisis, empathy, organisational skills to name but a few.I have led teams and been a team player throughout, and I enjoy being part of a happy work group.I have also worked in an busy reception and administration office, worked along side HR and have been involved with recruitment and interviewing. I'm reliable, punctual and fun to work with, the latter according to my colleagues. Mentoring and Training are also skills that I have picked up along the way, being a Safer People Handling coach for a couple of years.Keen to learn new skills, I am happy to undertake any training that will assist me in a new role.I may not have experience in some industries that prefer experience, but I certainly have life experience and I'm sure that must count for something.On a more personal level, I love traction engines, vintage fairgrounds and Steam Rallies. Music is a passion of mine and I enjoy singing (in private!). Reading is also a hobby of mine, along with enjoying good food and good company.
