I am a Director of the New Leadership Foundation alongside Alan Connett and John Lamb. Our company specialises in providing training, development, research and advice in the fields of public sector leadership training, political skills and management and research. We are particularly experienced in providing development and research for local councillors and councils.

In addition to being a Director of The New Leadership Foundation since 2010 I have undertaken a wide range of consultancy work through my own firm, Political Leadership & Management. I have worked extensively as a leadership development consultant in local government and the wider public sector. I have many years experience of undertaking research, development, consultancy, coaching and training for local councillors in all areas of political leadership and management. Local government and democracy is a passion, having worked in the 'world of local government' now for 30 years as an officer, academic and adviser.
