Areas of work include:Member Communications: Responsible for writing and managing the association’s weekly e-newsletters; managing the daily news service; managing and creating the Association’s mid-year and annual value/ROI report; managing membership directory and demographics; and managing website content. Advocacy and Policy: Extensive experience developing talking points, briefing documents, position papers, toolkits, and special reports that articulate how proposed legislation and regulation will affect hospital and health systems' ability to provide access to high-quality health care in their individual communities. Also manage special projects related to policy initiatives, including Affordable Care Act enrollment. Past projects have included hospital vaccination policies, tobacco-free campus policies, and the children’s health Insurance program. This work includes representing NCHA on statewide coalitions and boards addressing healthcare issues (NC Get Covered Advisory Board, NC Prevention Partners, Statewide Immunization Coalition, NC Coalition to Promote Health Insurance for Children, etc).Marketing materials: Plan and create targeted materials for NCHA’s quality and improvement initiatives, education programs, and for its affiliate organization, NCHA Strategic Partners. This includes creating and implementing marketing plans, brochures, e-marketing, newsletters, sponsorship proposals, posters, event planning and special reports. Responsible for providing information, news releases and public service announcements to the media; writing, designing and editing award-winning publications including newsletters, brochures and annual reports; writing, designing and placing advertisements; organizing speakers bureau and focus groups; and coordinating special events, including the hospital's centennial.
