Responsible for managing Meta’s Data Center location and portfolio strategy in Europe by:• working closely with our global strategy and capacity planning team to identify suitable options in Europe that can feed into Meta’s global pipeline, near and long term• managing large internal and external teams across multiple geographies to identify the most suitable sites to provide flexible optionality, as the business capacity needs continue to evolve• vetting prospective sites and assess risks and opportunities across all aspects of sites selection and development, including permitting and land use; data on energy (including renewable energy), water and wastewater availability and cost; network connectivity; natural hazard, floodplain and climatological data; legal, physical risk and financial implications as well as total cost of ownership• opening up new countries by working with cross-functional teams (such as legal, tax, finance and policy) to identify new options for potential investment and future DC development• establishing key connections with investment agencies and governments across multiple geographies to introduce Meta and build up key relationships to support future investments • securing all necessary planning approvals (e.g., zoning, permitting) for hyperscale Data Centers developments• creating scalable processes to track progress towards on-time delivery of projects for key internal and external stakeholders, including capacity planning, data center design and construction, external consulting partners, network engineering, legal, tax, policy and finance

I worked in environmental consultancy for ten years, gaining experience in the development and delivery of a range of environmental management activities. I have experience with working on large scale public transport projects, managing environmental and community issues and working with a range of stakeholders including regulatory authorities, local communities, consultants and contractors. I worked on some of Mace’s most prestigious projects including the new BSkyB Campus redevelopment, the Qatari Diar Chelsea Barracks Scheme and the Bracknell Regeneration project. I have also developed and implemented a Nuisance Management strategy for the business, with a focus on proactive relationships with Local Authorities, management of Section 61 submissions and noise modelling and monitoring protocols for all Mace sites. As the Mace Champion for the Considerate Constructors Scheme, I've developed a monitoring, benchmarking and improvement strategy to boost innovation and continuous improvement across the business. This has led to double the amount of CCS awards over the last 12 months, including eight Gold Awards and two Most Considerate site runners-up awards. I was promoted from Sustainability Senior Manager to Associate Director in 2016 and worked within the Mace International Contracting Business Unit, leading on the Sustainability strategy for Datacenters in Europe.

Prior to Mace, for three and half years, I worked on the Tottenham Court Road Station Upgrade Project (TCRSU), responsible for leading the environment and stakeholder functions on the project and ensuring compliance with the numerous legal consents, commitments and undertakings incumbent on the construction works in accordance with the Crossrail Act 2008.
