Digital Media Coordinator Promotion - July 2017- PresentFull Title: Digital Media Coordinator & Administrative Specialist

The bulk of my event coordinating experience was gained while I was an Event Coordinator Intern at The Ranch Events Complex. I worked with three outstanding supervisors Abby Powell, Senior Events Manager, Liz Garcia, Event Coordinator, and Rachel Befort, Event Coordinator. I had the opportunity to shadow and assist in planning multiple events including Relay for Life, Heavenfest, Larimer County Fair and Rodeo, Good Guys Car Show, and more! I also gained experience in working with the on site catering company while assisting the coordinating of the Gnarly Barley Brew Festival. I learned the ins and outs of event coordinating through creating layouts on Party CAD, making data sheets, gathering the proper resources for each event, and managing promotions items. The Ranch team also showed me how to think on my feet while transforming the event center into an evacuee center during the High Park Fire for humans and large animals. This event center can do it all and the experience I received here will stay with my throughout my journey to become an event coordinator!

My experience working in the Box Office of the Budweiser Events Center has allowed me to learn excellent customer service skills while working at a fast pace. This event center hosts events of over 5,000 attendees ranging from The Larimer County Fair and Rodeo, Eagles Hockey games, Disney on Ice, and much more! Working with the Paciolan ticket system has allowed me to learn the basics of running ticketing technology and can further prepare me for my goals of having a future career in event coordinating. The Budweiser Events Center has an exceptional events staff and I encourage you to check out a future event to see for yourself!

Throughout my summer internship with Lincoln Financial Media I had the privilege to shadow and assist the (at the time Promotions Director) Marketing Director JJ Pellini. I learned the responsibilities of the Promotions Department through meeting with clients as well as creating and recording copy for their company to air on 104.3 The Fan Sports Radio. This experience allowed me to grasp the realities of the business realm and pointed me in the right direction on how to focus my education for the remainder of my college career.
