Cooperate with Aquatics professional staff and senior student staff on training and supervision of 70 Lifeguards and 30 Head Lifeguards via direct communication, observance, shift audits, and scheduled evaluations. Plan and lead monthly in-service trainings to prepare Head Lifeguards for instructing designated skills and evaluating performance and development of Lifeguards. Assist with training and development of Head Lifeguards by leading monthly Head Lifeguard meetings and auditing Head Lifeguards on shifts to ensure readiness for emergency and other situations. Assessed the physical condition and bibliographic information of items selected for print retention for project overseen by HathiTrust Digital Library; documented time spent assessing items from the Rare Books and Manuscript Library, Main Stacks, and Oak Street collections. Located by call number and pulled items for various collection maintenance and digitization projects. Searched the local library catalog to determine if donated items already resided in the collection and assessed their eligibility for withdrawal or Better World Books. Scanned barcoded items, added barcodes to items, and updated online bibliographic records with new locations and barcodes in Alma library software system.

Supervise 2–3 lifeguards and oversee all logistical needs during shifts. Collaborate with aquatics professional staff and senior student staff to continually assess and increase lifeguard performance and to ensure consistent training standards across all aquatics staff.

Evaluated existing music collections with a focus on 20th- and 21st-century composers of color to identify gaps in composer representation. Identified 70 prominent composers of color and used vendor websites to select 58 new scores and 18 new recordings. Reviewed 5 months of School of Music recital and concert programs to identify composers/works missing from MPAL’s collection; developed a workflow for future student employees to continue an ongoing review of the collection.
