I have worked my way up in H&M to now become a visual merchandiser, due to the skills I showed in my role as visual extra responsible of accessories. My Responsibilities include: - Present garments in an eye-catching way for customer and follow up on sales so that they reflect my work. - To make the store look inspiring and inviting and promoting this throughout the team. - Work on the window and in store displays. - Train sales advisors and promote progression. - Having a good fashion knowledge so I am up to date with current trends.

I am in charge of the accessories department including management of the staff and occasionally carrying out administration duties. A key role in my current position is the merchandising of lingerie, jewellery and a variety of accessories to ensure that they are made visually effective and match current trends to maximise sales making sure the figures reflect my efforts of creativity. I have the sole responsibility for organising the various shift patterns required to make the department run smoothly and efficiently as well as scheduling in, week by week, tasks that need completed using the strengths of each team member effectively. Every week I actively participate in management meetings where I am responsible for evaluating how my department is performing in relations to targets and goals set and I also have experience of recruitment activities across Glasgow and Edinburgh such as interviewing and holding recruitment nights, as well as training in my store.

I carried out a variety of admin duties including filing, answering the phone, customer service, invoicing, mail merges, general mailing duties, photocopying, as well as a wide range of tasks directed to me from a large housing department.
