Stephanie is a social entrepreneur and experienced lead consultant of human-centred design. She founded EDEN + ELIE to combine her passion for business, design and social good. Her company has since grown into an established label in the local jewellery scene that has been featured in The Peak Magazine, the New York Times Style Magazine, Channel NewsAsia and The Business Times. She believes that design has tremendous potential to drive value in the marketplace and impact lives for the better in human-centred and innovative ways. Today, EDEN + ELIE provides employment opportunities for communities in need in Singapore, training adults with autism to become artisans. In addition, Stephanie consults with UNDP (United Nations Development Program) on various initiatives, including a global sense-making project for the 20th anniversary of the UNSCR 1325 resolution on Women, Peace and Security. She currently co-leads a workshop on how to design for the most vulnerable in UNDP Arab States. Prior to EDEN + ELIE, Stephanie worked in the U.S. as an architect and design professional in the fields of fashion, product design and e-commerce, returning to Singapore in 2011. She went on to lead various design and strategy projects for companies, government and various institutions, spanning across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT and a Master of Architecturefrom the University of California, Berkeley.
