As a Development Analyst, I worked on the project team to develop utility-scale solar sites focused in the Midwest. I worked with local stakeholders including landowners, public officials, and consultants to obtain county permits and conduct studies on the land we lease. I managed multi-million project budgets, coordinated with internal and external teams, reviewed and negotiated contracts, and supported discretionary and ministerial permit applications. Additionally, I assisted with community relations work, including donation coordination, research, and organizing volunteer events. As a Corporate Sustainability Intern at U-Haul's Corporate Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, I collaborated with the Sustainability team on a variety of projects in order to strengthen U-Haul's sustainability initiatives. I submitted energy benchmarking for the U.S. and Canada, performed energy analyses and collaborated with energy suppliers, researched and wrote over 40 adaptive reuse histories to be published on U-Haul’s website, conceptualized sustainability communication and marketing for internal and external audiences, and conducted research & synthesized findings.
