    In 2013, I was specially selected by executive management to be the face and leader of the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) franchise and the IWCE's Urgent Communications group. I held dual roles during this time as both the Event Director and Sales Director, with the responsibilities of leading the IWCE event and conferences, holding full ownership of the P&L, managing sales staff, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. IWCE trade shows and conferences typically welcome close to 7,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors and sponsors. In my role, I was responsible for developing the strategic direction and visual strategy for events, including pre-event activities, onsite events, and post-event opportunities. Although the pandemic created new challenges for in-person events, I rapidly adjusted to canceling the 2020 IWCE event by transitioning to digital offerings to keep the audience connected, engaged, and safe. Although nothing can replace the benefits, networking opportunities, and collaboration of in-person events, I developed a 3-week online digital event to help sponsors stay in front of their audiences and continue to bring in revenue. Fortunately, in September of 2021, we returned to our in-person event when we successfully launched the IWCE trade show while safely following the challenges of social distancing and other CDC guidelines.
